The Democratic Gap

Image
For years, the Democratic Party has struggled to translate its popularity into meaningful action. They could dominate elections repeatedly if they managed to shed their dependence on donor influence. Both major political parties are deeply entangled with corporations, wealthy businessmen, and foreign interests; their primary distinction lies in their stance on social issues. These social issues serve as a distraction, shielding the wealthy from becoming targets of political reform—a fact they are keenly aware of. Social media platforms, whether intentionally or not, amplify this dynamic by perpetuating and evolving social issues. Across the political spectrum (though one side is far more culpable), misrepresentation, out-of-context narratives, and fear-mongering plague the media landscape. This divides our attention and redirects focus away from the pervasive corporate influence. Many believe that addressing corporate corruption requires first resolving social issues by defeating the o...

The Hope For 2026

Image
If you've been tuned into any of the congressional news lately, you'll know things have been changing, rapidly. Regardless of how you feel about the changes...it's an entirely new shift if government not seen since early last century. Just about every aspect of American society has been hit by these changes. From education, to parks and nature, to commerce, to trade, to the stock market, to medical research.... my God, there's a lot. My point is anyone and everyone has been affected by these changes.  The silver lining to this dark cloud that we are seeing is that we still have our democracy (until it is gone we still have it and I will operate under such pretenses.). So many people forgot the kind of economic duress Trump put us into during the Covid years.  It was only b...

The Crumbling Of Our Constitution.

The preceding days to this post, the very foundation of the constitution of the United States of America has been challenged by it's sitting president, Donald Trump. By ignoring federal judiciary orders and therefore violating the checks and balances the judiciary is suppose to have on the executive branch. This is an absurd overreach of executive power, even called out by the conservative Chief Justice John Roberts.  You might wonder, "Well, so he ignored one order, is that really a big shift from what's going on right now?" Well I think so. The case involves the use of habeas corpus, something that is even a stain on President Lincoln's presidency. American's famously hate the use of it because if calls for termination of due process and the legal rights provided to normal citizens at normal times.  Whether if you agree on if the people involved in this cases should legally be allowed to be here, is besides the fact. Not only did Trump use habeas corpus, bu...
