A New Age of (Dis)Information

 In younger America we got our information through newspapers. Like, all of it. Everything about the world, the nation, and even more locally was through the newspaper. There were like today, differing papers for differing view points.  Look at a historical archive website through some old papers and you'll really understand my point better. Entire pages of background info were dedicated to topics. The news today is short and sweet for the most part but back then they would do massive explanations of topics.  The other big difference was that newspapers were held to a higher standard of quality. That's not to say that they were completely honorable, but there was more accountability than today.  Even up until the internet, media giants were still responsible on some level for the things they said.
